Unveiling Morocco’s Imperial Cities: Bustling Medinas, Rich History & Local Flavors

Upon your arrival at Casablanca Airport (CMN), our representative will greet you and transfer you to your centrally located hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to settle in, relax after your flight, and explore the city at your own pace. Additional nights before the tour starts can be arranged upon request.

Today, we begin with a tour of Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital. Our itinerary includes the central market, the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Habous district, Mohamed V Square, the Anfa residential area, and the exterior of the stunning Hassan II Mosque on the seafront.

After departing Casablanca, we drive to the Berber town of Meknes, the former capital during the reign of Moulay Ismail. He transformed Meknes with intricate gateways, beautiful gardens, and the country's longest ramparts at 40km. We'll visit the Bab Mansour Gate, the Royal Stables, and the Jewish Quarter.

Next, we enjoy a panoramic view of the holy city of Moulay Idriss on our way to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Volubilis dates back to AD 40 and boasts some of the most impressive Roman ruins in North Africa. We conclude the day by driving to the medieval city of Fes.

Journey through Fez, a captivating labyrinth of vibrant souks, historic mosques, and spice-laden streets. Explore the city's rich past with a tour of iconic landmarks: the Moulay Idriss mausoleum (exterior), the grand Karouine Mosque, the Royal Palace, the ornate Nejjarine fountain, and a majestic Medersa (religious school) - Attarine or Bou Anania.

After lunch, delve into the heart of the medieval medina, a sensory overload of bustling alleyways crammed with tanneries, dye pits, leather and carpet shops. Discover hidden mosques, local eateries, and unique crafts along every winding path.

Today, we reluctantly leave Fez and drive to Rabat, Morocco's administrative capital on the Atlantic coast. Our tour in Rabat includes the Royal Palace (Mechouar), Mohamed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower Mosque, and the Oudayas Garden and Kasbah. After an optional seafood lunch (included in the full board package), we'll continue our journey on the highway to Marrakech.

Today, we'll explore Marrakech, Morocco's second oldest Imperial City, also known as the "ochre city." Our tour will include visits to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the Menara Garden, Saadian Tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum, and the Bahia Palace. After lunch at the hotel, we'll venture into the bustling souks and handicraft quarters before concluding at the famous Djemaa El Fna square. Dining near the square or returning in the evening is highly recommended, as it comes alive at night with street food stalls, musicians, and entertainers—truly one of Morocco's highlights.

Today, you have the entire day free to immerse yourself in the heart of Marrakech. Return to the vibrant souqs for some last-minute sightseeing and shopping, or visit the stunning Majorelle Garden. This oasis features French-influenced architecture, a remarkable cactus and palm collection, and a fascinating connection to iconic French designer Yves Saint Laurent. The garden's museum showcases his artwork and a Berber heritage collection. For an unforgettable experience, consider an early morning hot air balloon flight, offering breathtaking views of the landscape. Alternatively, take a day trip to the picturesque Ourika Valley in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.

This morning, we drive back to Casablanca, arriving in time for lunch at the hotel. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city center, do some final sightseeing, and shop in the souqs.
